How old are you?
I look old. I know. My age intrigues people. I look 40, and then I mention being a kid in the 90's and people are all whhhhhaaaat. I get it. But I'm 29. 11/13/1983. I know. It's okay.

How many kids do you have?
This is a weird question for me. I have three kids that I can cuddle right now. I have been pregnant five times. I have held and kissed four babies that I have delivered. I always want to say that I have five kids. It's a weird question to watch me struggle to answer. I'm working on that.

Do you want to ad swap with me?
I don't offer ad swaps unless the circumstances are truly exceptional. Feel free to bribe me. Oh, and I don't own a passport, so plan your all-inclusive vacation with me accordingly.

What does your husband do for a living?
He works with firearms and security. He is a private investigator and licensed instructor. He spends his days teaching and his nights spying on evil cheating spouses. At least that's how I envision it all. In reality he spends a lot of time teaching and a lot of time doing mundane office stuff. To our family, he's a superhero.

How long have you been blogging?
I started my blog on January 13th, 2010. Unfortunately I didn't know about networking, social media, linky parties, or commenting on other blogs. This means that for a very long time, my blog just sat here. I wrote and no one read. I like that it's not so one-sided these days.

How long have you been married?
Our anniversary is March 8, 2003.

What kind of camera do you use for your posts? What do you use to edit your pictures?
I have a Canon 60D and usually use my Canon 50 mm 1.4 lens. I edit all of my photos in Photoshop CS5.1.

I took that thing you said really seriously and now I'm mad.
That's unfortunate. You shouldn't do that.

When did you start babywearing?
I started when Franky was five days old. I wore him on an outing for the first time when he was three weeks old. I immediately became hooked.

Why do you cloth diaper?
I started because I was given a diaper service gift certificate for six months of service. After one week of using cloth, I decided that it was best for my baby. I love the softness and the ease. I know it seems like more work, but with a service, it's the same amount of work as disposables. Plus, the covers are cute.

I don't think you're a good writer and your sentence fragments frustrate me.
I'm. So. Sorry.

Do you have hair extensions? Do you bleach your hair yourself? Where do you get your hair colored?
Sometimes I wear clip-in extensions. I used to get my hair colored professionally up until the baby was born. Now I color my hair myself. I'll post about that soon. It is the least amount of fancy possible.

I know that you co-sleep. How do you have room in your bed for everyone? Don't you and your husband miss having alone time?
I didn't plan on co-sleeping. We co-slept with Taylor until she was about three. She decided to stop co-sleeping all on her own. Warner co-sleeps with us still, and yes, most nights I kind of want some more space. I typically move him to his bed on nights like those. He always ends up smooshed up against me again by morning. And every morning, it makes me laugh. He loves his mama. I'm cherishing these last nights... I know it will be different when he starts school in the Fall. Franky sleeps with me most of the night, but he also sleeps in the crib next to my bed. He isn't as clingy as Warner was at this age. And Sedric and I can have alone time whenever we want- he loves co-sleeping as much as I do... maybe more.

Do you like chocolate?
I love chocolate.

What does "Sugar and Dots" mean? Those are your kids' nicnames, right?
No. Not even a little bit. Had I thought anyone would be saying that to me all.the.time. I would have never named my blog that. I was trying to think of my very favorite things, without having the word "vintage" (I look old) or "thrift" (I dress like a poor person) in the title. My runners-up were anything sugary sweet and all things polkadot. Since I think "polkadot" is all one word and the dictionary does not, I went with "dots". Polkadots and Sugar became Dots and Sugar. I then saw the URL as "dot sand sugar" and went with Sugar and Dots.

Why don't you use a watermark on your photos?
I would hate for my watermark to interrupt the flow of my posts, so I avoid using one altogether. I don't want you guys to have to see a URL in the corner of all of my photos just because some people are douchebags and don't know how to cite properly.

What is your last name? I tried looking you up on Facebook.
My last name is Ess. Please don't add me and then be a troll. I'd love for you to say hi!
