People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive: My Two Cents. (Plus a winner!)

By now you have probably heard that Channing Tatum won the title of PEOPLE MAGAZINE'S Sexiest Man Alive 2012.

Was I the only one that was disappointed?
Maybe "disappointed" isn't the right word.
Because really, I don't know a better fit after the year he had.
He was known as the hot guy in 21 Jump Street, and everyone tells me that he was dreamy in Magic Mike.
(I can't bring myself to watch that movie... along with 50 Shades of Gray, it was something I decided to skip and hope that I wasn't truly missing out.)
That being said, he made ladies swoon all over the place in his recent films.
I suppose no one would be a better fit.
And I can see the potential...

Maybe I prefer him looking studious?
I don't know what it is about Channing Tatum, but I just don't take him seriously.
I know that seems so shallow and cruel having never met him, but "sexy" is so so so much more than looks to me!
Honestly, the best part of the entire magazine for me was my favorite Second Look article.
Do any of you like to see if you can spot all of the differences between the two photos?

I know, I know.
The Sexiest Man Alive issue, and I spent more time staring at a horse.

However, did you notice the ad on the back of the issue?!

Olivier Martinez looks amazing here.
Or maybe I'm just a sucker for scruffy bilingual men.

What did you think about the winner?
Did your choice make the cut?
Were you surprised at all?
What does "sexy" mean to you?

I would love to hear your opinions!

Also, the winner of the $20.00 Walgreens gift card is:

  1. Totally agree with you!!! Not my cup of tea! And definitely the scruffy guy looks sexier.
I was too busy painting to think about it, but now that I read your post... I guess I would choose Daniel Craig.

  2. What I think is causing such a ruckus over him is the somewhat lost idea of a "hunk" in the age where hipsters are king. The things I read about him dont exactly make me think hes smart but very very loyal. The things he says about his wife are super cute! He seems pretty genuine (how could I possibly really know that haha) and Im glad he doesnt dabble in psuedo intellectualism like most of hollywood. Anyways, clearly I have given this a lot of thought!

  3. I'm one of the weird ones who isn't all that impressed with Channing Tatum. Or Ryan Gosling if we're going to be perfectly honest.
