I want to remember this room exactly how it is right now.
Warner and Franklin's bedroom.
I have a ton of projects that will make their bedroom complete, but I can't freeze time.
By the time those projects are complete, there may not be a changing pad on top of the dresser.
Or onesies in the closet.
I want to remember this room and how it feels to be in it right now.
The sweet smell of baby lotion.
The piles of books from naptime.
All of it.
Franky sleeps in a Pack N Play in our bedroom.
He's currently asleep in the "newborn napper" section as I type this from my bed.
My boys don't yet share their space other than their belongings... Warner is still in bed with us every night, and Franky is directly on the other side of me.
I am sandwiched between them.
Almost everything in their room is from Ikea.
The yellow thing is an old gun cabinet that I purchased from a friend.
I originally planned on it being a little reading nook, but it will soon house our tortoise's cage.
And once the baby grows out of his many hats, I really don't know what I'll do with that space.
I'll cross that bridge when I get there I guess.
The rug is from Walmart.
The curtain is a shower curtain draped over the curtain rod. It's from Target. It was on sale.
The ceiling fan is striped with washi tape, but totally falling apart. Nesting FAIL.
The paper bunting is vintage Babar stories from this rad girl.
The bedding is Pottery Barn Kids. It was also on sale.
The baby pictures are Warner when he was one month old. They are identical to Franky.
The orange cat is from my Uncle Chris.
The changing pad cover is from Marshalls.
Everything else is either really old (boombox FTW), thrifted, gifted, or literally found on the side of the road.
It is a hodepodge of love and memories.
And yes, the clock on the wall is upside down.
