Kitchen Makeover

A couple of weeks ago I decided to spruce up my dining room and kitchen with some color.
I'm calling it a kitchen makeover because the space is so tiny, and we never call it a dining room.
When we eat, we sit at the "kitchen table".
I love our kitchen.
The old counter tops.
The ridiculously hot oven.
The kitchen window that faces my favorite neighbors.
I have never complained about this space.
I think my husband thinks I'm crazy because I love the space so much, and to anyone else, it really doesn't look like there's much to love.

Handmade art.
Vintage happiness.
Always out of napkins.
Fake plants.
Sock drawer turned spice rack backsplash.
Dusty chandelier.
Lots of salt and pepper.
Homework table.
Dinner table.
Laughter table.

This is how life is right now... messy, chaotic, colorful, mismatched, and full of love.
I want to freeze time and keep it this way forever.

And I keep debating on sanding down the kitchen chairs and making them look really worn.
Thoughts?

I still can't believe the transformation.

Happy Thursday, friends.

  26. i - I love the colors you used - and how lively the kitchen looks now. It must be fun to cook and eat meals - so homework etc there now. There's a lot of eye candy! Wonderful job.

Can I ask a quick question? I added my project to a few link parties (Sumo Sweet Stuff, Between Naps on the Porch and Be Colorful) and there was a red "x" next to the name of my project. (My was Ceiling Design and Dining Room Re-Do). I have a links under the post - plus I have a section on my blog where I have the button that then links to the Link Party. I don't know why I still get that red "x." Maybe you can tell me what you do (because I didn't see a reference to the link party on your post!

    Thanks...and again - great job!
