What I Whipped Up Wednesday + Winner Announced!

Hello, lovelies!
How have you been?
If you're reading this in a reader, I hope you'll come back and visit again soon- the blog has a new look!
Truth is, I had an assignment for my web design course and decided to kill two birds with one stone.
Result: New look.
Major changes scare me.
I'd love your input after you link up!

On to the features, yes?

Last week, Dana from The Wonder Forest transformed an old tin into a beautiful vase:

Desiree from The 36th Avenue transformed her mud closet into this beauty:

Carmen from RoCa and Company whipped up this yummy chicken and grape salad:

Jamie from Easily Dunn put together this radtastic no-sew cardigan:

And Jamie from The Letter 4 put together this adorable flower tutorial for you:

You are all SO talented!
Fo real, yo.

And for the winner of last week's custom holiday card giveaway:

Congratulations, Heather!
(I will be emailing you, soon.)

Thank you SO much to everyone who linked up!
If you were featured, be sure to grab a button off of my sidebar.
And I have new rules for linky party.
I know, super lame.
Gotta keep things in order around here, though.

1. You do NOT have to link-back to this blog in order to link-up. I know that adding links to your posts is annoying. However, you MUST be a follower of this blog to add your link. (How else are you going to know if you've been featured?!)

2. Must link to YOUR post. Please do not link to your blog's homepage URL. You can add AS MANY LINKS AS YOU'D LIKE to the party as long as the link goes to a direct post.

3. If you use a photo that isn't your's and cite the source, that's totally awesome. The only problem is that I can't feature you because I have to rely on your source and add a bunch of crazy links. If you'd like a shout-out, use your own photos, please.
4. Starting last week, every FEATURED link is pinned to my Pinterest account. This earns you more views and hopefully more readers. :)

I can't wait to see your links!

Halloween Mantel (Craft Idea)

I'm not a huge fan of Halloween.
I know, I know.
I like looking at all of your decor- I do.
But for my own house, it's not my favorite.
Until I saw this idea in a magazine:

I turned the photo on my mantel into something a little more Halloween-esque.
The supplies:

There are actual costume templates you can use on a cutting machine (like a Cricut), but I simply drew everything on paint chip samples and taped the "costumes" onto the glass with tiny pieces of tape.

From left to right: witch, wizard, dragon, and pirate.

The perfect amount of Halloween for me.

Happy Friday, friends.

What I Whipped Up Wednesday Double Feature + Giveaway!

Hello lovelies.
What I Whipped Up Wednesday is never scheduled- I always type it up and hit "publish".
And then I refresh my blog and watch the links trickle in.
It's my favorite thing about Tuesdays.
This Tuesday I will be at my uncle's funeral and spending the afternoon with my family.
It will be the first time in years that my parents and my brothers will be in the same room together.
And I get to hug all of them.
My brothers have already flown in and arrived safely.
I am really not looking forward to tomorrow, but I am thankful that I get to see everyone that I love.
And when I get home, What I Whipped Up Wednesday should be in full-swing to take my mind off of the craziness that they day was filled with.

Let's get to it...

Sweet Floweret made this lovely Fall pillow:

Momma Hen showed off pretty Fall decor:

Tonia from The Gunny Sack put together these cute "things" in a jar:

Lani from Create put together this rad bow necklace tutorial:

Cyndee at Flour Me with Love whipped up this Pumpkin Crunch cake:

Audrey at Sweet Cheeks made these hilarious Ogre Toe Treats:

And Dana from The Wonder Forrest put together a 9-Step Makeup Tutorial:
